GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR TRANSPORT
Carriage of persons and/or their baggage with the Airport Express Bus is governed by the following general terms and conditions for transport, which are deemed to be known and accepted by the passenger. A copy of these general terms and conditions for transport can be obtained from the bus driver or at the address mentioned below.
Article 1: Admitted passengers
Airport Express is a shuttle service intended exclusively for:
- departing or arriving passengers and their accompanying persons from or to Zaventem Airport
- staff employed at Zaventem Airport
Only passengers in possession of an airport badge or other proof of employment at Zaventem Airport, a boarding pass, airline ticket or similar travel document are permitted to use the Airport Express bus. These documents are also accepted for persons accompanying airline passengers.

Article 2: Tickets and check
Each passenger must hold a valid ticket in order to access this bus.
Tickets are available for purchase from the bus driver and must be produced upon request of an authorised ticket inspector/controller.
By purchasing this ticket, the passenger accepts our general conditions of transport and declares that he or she belongs to the categories of travellers mentioned in Article 1.
The driver has the right at all times to ask the passenger for an airport badge or other proof of employment at the airport, a boarding pass, airline ticket or similar travel document.
Bookings on board the vehicle are only possible if there are enough free seats available for the entire journey.
The VAT rate of 6% always applies.

Article 3: Cancellation and modification
Tickets purchased via the website www.airportexpress.be are non-refundable.
A ticket purchased via the website can be used from 24 hours before the selected departure time until 24 hours after the selected departure time.
A ticket purchased via the website can be changed free of charge to another day or another departure time.

Article 4: Liability limitations
The liability of the carrier, his agents or representatives is limited to an amount of EURÂ 400 per passenger for the whole of his or her luggage, including hand baggage, clothing and objects carried by the passenger in person.
The carrier, his agents or representatives can under no circumstances be held responsible for direct or indirect damage or loss caused by theft, circumstances beyond one’s control (act of God).

Article 5: Liability exclusions

Hand baggage, like briefcases, rucksacks, travel bags, handbags and such (non-exhaustive list), and valuable goods and/or documents, like jewels, camera equipment, original documents, official documents, travel tickets, means of payment and such (non-exhaustive list), shall be held by the passenger in the bus and shall not be placed in the luggage hold.
Liability for loss or theft of or damage to the hand baggage or baggage and fragile, valuable or perishable goods is excluded.
Wearing a seat belt is mandatory under Belgian law. Any fine issued in the event of failure to wear the seat belt will be recovered from the passenger. It is not permitted to smoke (including e-cigarettes), to eat or to drink on board the vehicle.

Article 6: Liability for bodily injuries
The carrier, his agents or representatives can only be held responsible for bodily injuries (including death) caused by their fault.
In all cases their liability is limited to EUR 250,000 per passenger.

Article 7: schedules
The carrier undertakes, to his best efforts, to carry the passenger and his or her baggage.
Times of departure or of arrival shown in the timetable or elsewhere are for guidance only and form no part of these general terms and conditions for transport.
The carrier, his agents or representatives can never be held responsible for direct or indirect damage caused by any type of delay.
The passenger can only be transported if there are enough free seats in the vehicle regardless of whether the booking is made in advance or on site.
If the vehicle is full and there are no more free spaces, the carrier will endeavour to the best of its ability to offer an alternative or deploy an additional vehicle.
The carrier may without prior notice substitute an alternate carrier or means of transport. The passenger can never claim compensation.
Child seats are made available free of charge. These must however be requested in advance and are subject to availability.
Article 8: Unilateral amendment
The carrier reserves the right to amend these general terms and conditions at any time by publishing a new version.

Article 9:Â Complaints and Legal disputes
All complaints regarding payments or services must be made by registered letter (to the address below) within 7 days of proof of payment.
If and insofar as any provisions of the general terms and conditions are declared null and void or annulled, the other provisions of the general terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect. Belgian law applies to all disputes relating to these general terms and conditions for transport and to the execution of the transport. In case of dispute, only the court of Brussels is competent, even if there are multiple defendants.
